Collect a signature

  1. Select Add signature on the donor’s row. A window opens with the donor’s name at the top.

  2. Select who receives the products: Please select child for a donor, or Please select center for a community donor. When there is only one option it is already selected.

  1. Review the Products. Each product gets the task’s Maximum quantity. To change it, turn on Modify quantities and use − / + or type the quantity. It must be between the product’s Min required and the task’s Maximum.

  1. If a product goes over a daily, weekly or monthly limit for that child, a yellow warning shows it, for example: “The maximum amount (10) for product “Harry Potter Book” exceeds the daily maximum of 5”. The warning does not block the signature: lower the quantity if needed.

  2. The donor signs in the signature pad. Under the pad, Clear signature erases it, Restore signature brings back the last one, and Save submits it.

  3. To leave without signing, close the window with the X. Nothing is saved and the donor stays pending.

When the signature is saved, a transaction is created for the donor with the task’s products and the selected child or center. The row changes to See transaction.

When the task has ended

After the End date, the details show Task ended: This task has already ended. No more signatures can be received. and Add signature is disabled for the pending donors. The signed donors can still be reviewed with See transaction. To collect the missing signatures, edit the task in Tasks and extend the End date: Add signature becomes available again.

IMPORTANT

A group task can only be completed from Group Tasks. Transactions created from the Transactions menu do not count toward it.

Each signature creates a separate transaction, registered under the user who collected it.

Quantities are validated: a quantity under Min required or over the Maximum cannot be signed.
